Please be advised that on Thursday, June 4, 2026, there will be a staff gathering for both Elementary and High School staff. As a result: There will be no classes for Elementary students for the entire day. High School students will attend morning classes only as High School staff and students will be participating in the Year-End Awards Celebration and there will be no classes in the afternoon. We thank students, parents, and guardians for their understanding and cooperation as we celebrate the achievements of our students and recognize the hard work of our staff throughout the school year.

Please be advised that High School Final Exams will begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and conclude on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. These exams are an important part of the students' final evaluation for the school year. We kindly request that parents and guardians ensure their children attend school on both exam days and arrive on time. Students are encouraged to come well-prepared, get a good night's rest, and bring all necessary materials for their exams. Please make every effort not to miss these important days, as final exams play a significant role in students' academic achievement and course completion. Director
Sarah Johnson is Education Director from North Caribou Lake First Nation also known as RoundLake and Weagamow Lake. Sarah speaks fluently and writes in Anishininiimowin. Sarah’slifelong passion in Anishininiimowin strives from the teaching of her Elders who raised her as anorphan. After many years of teaching, she has obtained several positions in various Indigenousorganizations. Sarah has contributed in developing language apps, videos, syllabic keyboards,Elder and youth gatherings to promote Anishininiiwi revitalization. She enjoys her role insupporting students, teachers, and building community connections. Her motto to this day is“Do not underestimate the use of your language as it defines you who you are.”

Jason became Assistant Education Director 5 years ago. A position became vacant when Roy Sakchekapo ran for councillor position and Jason replaced him. Jason loves outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. He is graduated from sioux North High School.It is with boundless joy and immense pride that Jason humbly serve as your Assistant Education Director.
